Fall TV 2009: Monday – What Will You Be Watching?

Yesterday, I posted what I’ll be watching on Sundays. Now, it’s time for Mondays. Last season Mondays were absolutely ridiculous. This season, while there are lots of shows I plan on watching, not having Chuck and Greek playing in the first hour of primetime, leaves it feeling much less packed with must see options. Last season, five of my favorite shows on all of television right now were playing in the first hour of primetime.

For me on Mondays, there are 12 shows and 10.5 hours of programming that I will be attempting to watch and one show that is yet to be determined. Take a look at the chart below and then let me know in the comments what shows you’re looking forward to on Mondays this Fall?

Wow–I didn’t realize how packed Mondays were going to be. My list is similar to yours, without One Tree Hill, Two and a Half Men or CSI Miami. I may also finally dump GG, otherwise, the move of BBT to 9:30 is going to force me to record Greek as a late-night rerun. I also plan on trying to catch the Canadian series “Durham County” on ION at 10pm (starts 9/7–I think there’s been 2 seasons of 6 episodes each).
Looking the most forward to the return of Big Bang Theory, Castle, Greek and HIMYM.

I’ll be watching Castle, a favorite. I’ll also watch House and Trauma.

I love the TVaholic emails! Thanks!

I was always meaning to get into Castle but totally missed it so I have to catch up on it before I watch it. I still liked OneTreeHill at least up until 2 stars left last year, I may try it to start just to see how they overcome it or if they can. I’m gonna give Heroes 3 episodes to keep my attention or be great again and then if not i’m out. I also watch Dancing with the Stars, hey hot women are hot women and the dancers(female of course) are in unbelievable shape.
    I also like Gossip Girl.

Thank God I don’t watch as much TV as you do!

I start off with the retched beast (OTH) and then Greek and Castle. BBT as a backup or I will catch in repeats. I am not a huge fan of sitcoms but BBT is great.

House, How I Met Your Mother, Accidently on Purpose, Lie to Me, Two & Half Men, The Big Bang Theory, Castle, The Jay Leno Show.

Kyle, I forgot about Durham County on ION, but I may check that out as well.

Kay, I glad you love the daily updates. It’s always nice to hear.

Kaliel, I’m interested to see what One Tree Hill will be like with the changes that have taken place.

Patty, I know, but a few of the shows could be dropped, like Heroes and One Tree Hill, if the former still kinda sucks and the later sucks even worse with the changes that have been made.

RoseAnn, You are the first person I know of that has said they are going to watch The Jay Leno Show. I may check out an episode or two to see what type of show he is going to do.

I love how ambitious you are! I’m also watching: House M.D., Greek, How I Met Your Mother, Heroes, The Big Bang Theory. Maybe Gossip Girl and Dancing with the Stars. I also want to get into Lie to Me, but I didn’t watch the first season. Blargh.

Most people think we’re crazy to watch so much, don’t they? :D You are kindred to me.

Jessica–you should have time to catch up with Lie To Me before the new season–I think it was only 13 episodes.

As for ambitious, I even take it one step further. For the stuff I don’t watch “live” during prime time, I have a scheduled task on my HTPC that runs overnight that chops the commercials from my recorded shows. Then I can stream them at 1.5x through the PS3. That means I can watch four 1-hour shows in the time it would take to watch 3 without commercials. So I can cover 6 “hours” of programming in just 3 hours. ;)

Jessica, “Ambitious” is one word for it and yes, most people would think “crazy” is the other word for it.

As Kyle said above, you could catch up pretty quickly with Lie to Me, as it is only 13 episodes and the DVD set came out on August 25th. But, you could probably watch the few episodes they have on Hulu (6,7,8,10 & 11) and FOX is replaying episodes on Mondays, which will probably include episodes 12 and 13 leading over the next couple weeks and be caught up enough to get into the second season.

It’s always nice to find a kindred TV fan.

Kyle, Turning 45-minutes of show without commercials into a 30-minute show by speed watching it, is a little too “ambitious.” I like my TV without commercials, but in real time.
