On cable tonight, Animal Planet has the first season finale of Into the Pride and Discovery Channel has the second season finale of American Loggers.

Premiering Next Thursday: The CW has the series premiere of The Vampire Diaries and the fifth season premiere of Supernatural.

Earlier in the day, USA has the last three episodes of Royal Pains.

30 Rock (NBC): Repeat. In “Sandwich Day” from season two, Liz’s ex returns and Jack is worrying about his future after being moved to a different floor. Runs 30 minutes.

The Office (NBC): Repeat. In last season’s finale episode, “Company Picnic,” Michael makes an attempt to get Holly back and Jim and Pam get some exciting news. Runs 31 minutes.
30 Rock (NBC): Repeat. In last season’s finale episode, “Kidney Now!,” Jack attempts to reconnect with his father. Liz seems to have become a relationship expert.

Ace of Cakes (Food Network): New. A bride and groom have both order cakes from Charm City to surprise the other one. A repeat episode follows. Both play again later.

Solid Selection

Iron Chef America (Food Network): Repeat. This past Sunday’s episode, “Morimoto vs. Mehta,” replays. Plays again later.

Skins (BBC America): New. Freddie’s sister Karen is in the finals of a TV talent show and he is being blackmailed by his dad to uphold the story they have concocted about their mother. Plays again later.

The Mentalist (CBS): Repeat. In “A Dozen Red Roses” from last season, the team goes to Hollywood to investigate a movie producer’s murder. Starts a minute after the hour and runs 59 minutes.

• Supernatural (The CW): Repeats. The last two episodes of last season, “When the Levee Breaks” and “Lucifer Rising,” replay tonight to get you ready for next week’s fifth season premiere episode.
