Fall TV 2009: Friday – What Will You Be Watching?

Well, today’s edition of what I’ll be watching pretty much closes out the week, as we’ve covered Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays already and while I’ll be posting about Saturdays, there really isn’t much to talk about. Now, it’s time for Fridays list of shows for Fall 2009.

While I haven’t seen Syfy’s Stargate Universe, but will after I pick up the screener later today, I am planning on watching it. But, you may be wondering after you look at the chart below, how I’ll be watching two things live at the same time? Well, many of my HD channels are the east coast feed, so that means that SU will be on at 6:00 p.m. PT followed by Sanctuary at 7:00 p.m. I will then watch The CW’s Smallville and FOX’s Dollhouse at 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., respectively. That will make for one pretty sweet Sci-Fi Friday block of shows. As for NBC’s Southland, I’ve got it down as DVR for now, but I only really care about one storyline on the show from the first season and I don’t think that will be enough to keep it on the list for very long.

For me on Fridays, there are eight shows and eight hours of programming that I will be attempting to watch, but there is one show that remains undetermined. Take a look at the chart below and then let me know in the comments what shows you’re looking forward to on Fridays for Fall 2009?

I wish I could get SGIU/Sanctuary at 6/7pm–that would be awesome. Looking forward to SGU the most–each entry of that franchise has been better than the previous one–from film to SG1 to SGA. I didn’t like the first few episodes of Sanctuary, but then it grew into one of my favorite new shows last year.
I pretty much agree with your schedule except I will probably not even watch the pilot of Brothers, and I gave up on Numb3rs years ago. I will be watching Ugly Betty, and so glad Medium got another season. Might also attempt to watch Til Death–but ever since they switched the young newlywed couple for the Little Brother/best friend the show went down hill–surprised this even came back.
As for Smallville, lately I have been just waiting for the seasons to be released on Blu-Ray. If I can get caught up on last year, might start watching again this year as I enjoyed Callum Blue on Dead Like Me and I hear Lana is gone–which was one of the the things I couldn’t stand.
Crash is also questionable–the episodes were hit or miss last year. There was one with Dennis Hopper drugged out in the desert last season that was so awful it turned me off from the show.

Smallville on Friday? Did they send it there to die finally? Anyhow whatever the case, i’ve been with it this long so i’ll still watch it.

I’m also gonna be watching Dollhouse just because if nothing else i’m suprised to see it come back. I’m also a big Eliza fan even though, a lot of people don’t think she can act.

I’m not a Monk watcher but I love Psych and I watched a show or two of Sanctuary when it was a webseries and loved it but haven’t caught any of it as a show…maybe I should try to find some way to catch it on the web.

It looks like thats it for me.

The first season of Sanctuary, along with all the webisodes comes out on DVD on September 15. While I wish they had released it in HD on Blu-Ray, I have already preorded my DVD copy from Amazon ;)

Kyle, Yeah, Syfy, TNT and USA HD channels on my Comcast cable are all east coast feeds, which I hope they don’t change like they did with ABC Family recently. It really comes in handy.

Kaliel, Yeah, that was my first thought about Smallville, but I don’t think The CW really had any choice given the new shows they are debuting this fall, as it doesn’t really pair up well with any of them.
