On Episode 44, “ABC Fall Preview 2009,” of the TV times Three podcast, Amrie, Rae and I talk about what’s coming this Fall on ABC, along with some news items, and our discussion of the previous week in primetime. Find out what we think of ABC’s new shows like Cougar Town, FlashForward, The Forgotten, Modern Family, and V and the rest of their Fall lineup.

Prime Picks

Ruby & the Rockits (ABC Family): New. Last week’s episode, “We Aren’t the Champions,” replays. Picking this as the best bet in the time period should tell you how bad I think 90210 is.
Ruby & the Rockits (ABC Family): New. Ruby can’t get the time of day from David and Patrick’s mother. Plays again late night tomorrow.

Warehouse 13 (Syfy): New. Myka discovers that her dad has a dangerous Edgar Alan Poe artifact in his possession. Plays again later. The previous two episodes, “Breakdown” and “Regets,” both replay before this episode. This is a good episode that involves Myka’s family, which includes guest star Michael Hogan (Battlestar Galactica as her father. This looks to set things up for next week’s season finale. Listen to interviews with Joanne Kelly, Eddie McClintock, Saul Rubinek, and Allison Scagliotti.

Sons of Anarchy (FX) New. Jax makes a decision that Clay doesn’t like, which brings some heat on the club. Gemma goes to an unlikely source after her attack. Runs 63 minutes. Plays twice and again later.

Solid Selections

90210 (The CW): New. Liam is trying to apologize to Naomi. Dixon and Liam go out for the surf team. Naomi sends the picture of Annie out to everyone. This episode is actually worse than last week’s premiere and that wasn’t very good. So far, I’d say the new direction of the show is actually worse than last season and that wasn’t very good. Plus, the dude that plays Teddy will be 31 in October. So, now I know why I thought he looked 30, cause he is.

Melrose Place (The CW): New. Ella, the only character worth watching on this show, finds out that she may lose her job unless she brings in a hot new client. Lauren continues to prostitute herself to pay for med school. This episode heads in the wrong direction from the premiere as well, like the show it follows. It will be interesting to see what direction the ratings head this week after a lackluster start last week.

The Cleaner (A&E) Season Finale. William is helping an old friend. PK attempts to throw a surprise party for William’s seven-year anniversary of his sobriety. Plays twice and again later twice.

Other Option

  • Chopped (Food Network): New. Past winners return to compete and find out who is the “Best of the Best.” Plays again later.

Late Night

  • Greek (ABC Family): Repeat. Last night’s episode, “The Half-Naked Gun,” replays.
  • Mad Men (AMC): Repeat. This past Sunday night’s episode, “The Fog,” replays.
  • Psych (USA): Repeat. Last Friday’s episode, “Shawn Has the Yips,” replays.

Discovery Channel has six episodes of I Shouldn’t Be Alive.
Oxygen has 11 episodes of America’s Next Top Model.
