The Simpsons (FOX): New. It’s the “Treehouse of Horror XX.” Lisa is out to get revenge. Zombies are taking over Springfield. Homer is turned into a half-man and half-brewing apparatus. Runs 30 minutes.

Dexter (Showtime): New. Dexter thinks he will get a little time to himself while Rita and the kids are away for a few days. Plays again later. Last week’s episode replays right before. Another good episode, as Dexter goes after his next mark.

Mad Men (AMC): New. A milestone is celebrated at the firm. Peggy and Paul are going after the same account. Runs 62 minutes. Plays twice and again later.

Food Network Challenge (Food Network): Repeat. Four amateurs take a stab at pumpkin carving. Plays again later.

Curb Your Enthusiasm (HBO): New. Larry has to learn how to embrace disability. Larry tries to make a rumor go away. Runs 30 minutes. Plays again later.

Brothers & Sisters (ABC): New. Sarah is trying to be Kitty’s distraction during her chemo treatments. Justin is looking for advice on how to get through his first anatomy class. Starts a minute after the hour and runs 59 minutes.

  • Californication (Showtime): New. Hank has Charlie come with him to a strip club, so he can find out why one of his students dropped his class. Charlie and Marcy are trying to sell their house, but things don’t go well. Runs 30 minutes. Plays again later.
  • Cold Case (CBS): New. A musician that was murdered in 1970 was trying to keep his playing secret from his strict preacher father has his case reopened by the team.
  • Desperate Housewives (ABC): New. Katherine is starting to totally lose it after losing Mike. Lynette needs some help around the house. Susan finds out about Julie’s secrets. Runs 61 minutes.
  • Iron Chef America (Food Network): New. Chef Anthony Amoroso takes on Iron Chef Morimoto. Plays again later.
  • The Next Iron Chef (Food Network): New. The chefs must show “Innovation” by combining Asian flavors with the American palate. Plays again later.
