Grey’s Anatomy (ABC): New. Owen has recruited a fellow Iraq veteran and cardiothoracic surgeon for Cristina, but Cristina doesn’t think she is all that good. Izzie is back. Runs 61 minutes.

The Mentalist (CBS): New. A woman being held for ransom has Minelli ordering Patrick and the team to work with Bosco’s team on the case.

Solid Selections

The Vampire Diaries (The CW): New. Dreams about her ancestor are freaking out Bonnie. Damon finally tells Stefan why he came back.

Fringe (FOX): New. A connection to Massive Dynamic is found while investigating a kidnapping that turns into a hostage situation.

Private Practice (ABC): New. Addison and Sam come across a crashed vehicle and have to perform urgent care on the driver and pregnant passenger. Starts a minute after the hour and runs 59 minutes.

  • 30 Rock (NBC): New. The crew is waiting for the new cast member. Jack thinks that Liz should do a talk show.
  • American Chopper (TLC): New. The Ornge medical transport company commissions a chopper. Plays again later. Last week’s episode replays right before.
  • Bones (FOX): New. Booth is up for re-certification on the gun range, but finds he isn’t the crack shot he used to be before his surgery. Booth and Brennan investigate the death of a little person that used to wrestle.
  • Community (NBC): New. Annie’s debate partner drops out, so Jeff joins the team. Abed seems to be predicting the future with his films.
  • CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (CBS): New. The trail that took Dr. Langston to Miami and New York has brought him back to Las Vegas.
  • Iron Chef America (Food Network): Repeat. The “Cora vs. Phan” battle from this past Sunday replays. Plays again later.
  • It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (FX): New. Mac and Dennis think they need some time away from the other. Runs 31 minutes. Plays again later.
  • The Office (NBC): New. Michael doesn’t know what to do with a rumor circulating about the company.
  • Supernatural (The CW): New. Dean and Sam are tricked by a fan into attending a fan convention.

  • ESPN has Thursday Night College Football with South Florida at Rutgers.
  • TNT has doubleheader NBA action with the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Miami Heat followed by the Phoenix Suns at the Los Angeles Lakers.
