Over on cable, Animal Planet has the second season finale of Lost Tapes, BBC America has an Apollo Wives special and the sixth season finale of Dragons’ Den, Discovery Channel has the second season premiere of How the Earth Was Made, and IFC has the second season premiere of The Jon Dore Television Show and third season finale of Ideal.
In late night, IFC has the series premiere of Dinner With the Band.
Prime Picks
V (ABC): New. Anna has Lisa bring Tyler aboard the ship to meet her. Chad is investigating the healing centers. Erica and Jack find out more about what the Visitors are up to. Run 61 minutes. This is a really good episode, maybe even great, but I was hoping for more for the final episode of 2009. Especially, since it will be quite some time before we get more new episodes. Don’t get me wrong; there are lots of reveals in the episode and plenty of excitement. Be very interested to hear your take, once you’ve seen the episode tonight.
NCIS: Los Angeles (CBS): New. Abby, guest star Pauley Perrette, helps out when a serial killer she has been tracking, looks to have shown up in Los Angeles.
Sons of Anarchy (FX) New. SAMCRO goes into lockdown while they implement their plan to takedown The League. Tara takes a cue from Gema and makes sure she keeps her position at the hospital. Plays twice and again later. Another great episode, so much happens, but it left me wishing I could see how the season ends right now. A third season hasn’t been officially announced, but there will be a third season according to this Kurt Sutter quote at Mo Ryan’s The Watcher.
Solid Selections
NCIS (CBS): New. Everyone has to abandon his or her Thanksgiving plans when a Marine’s horrific death needs to be investigated.
Dirty Jobs (Discovery Channel): New. Mike is all about safety as he looks back on some hazardous apprenticeships. Plays again later. Last week’s episode replays right before.
The Good Wife (CBS) New. Alicia gets herself twisted up in office politics when she defends a partner on a DUI charge. She also begins to think that maybe her husband really is guilty of corruption.

- The Next Iron Chef (Food Network): Repeat. This past Sunday’s second season finale episode, “Finale,” replays. Plays again later.

- ESPN has lots of college basketball.
