Get Doctor Who: The Complete Specials on Blu-ray or DVD at AmazonOn cable tonight, BBC America has part one of Doctor Who: The End of Time and a behind the scenes special and FOX Reality has the third season finale of The Academy.

Of the 24 TV marathons listed below, my prime pick would be the entire Band of Brothers miniseries on Spike.

Prime Picks

Doctor Who: The Waters of Mars (BBC America): Repeat. The Doctor comes in contact with the first human colony on Mars, Bowie Base One. Plays again later.

Doctor Who: The End of Time (BBC America): New. The Doctor has to deal with his nemesis that has been reborn. Runs 75 minutes. Plays again later.
Doctor Who: Inside Look (BBC America): New. Runs 15 minutes. Plays again later.

Other Option

  • Castle (ABC): Repeat. Castle’s agent may have an offer for him on a new book series in “When the Bough Breaks” from earlier this season.

Late Night

  • Saturday Night Live (NBC): Repeat. Taylor Swift hosted and performed.

Sports Notes

  • ESPN has tripleheader college football action with the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl with Marshall vs. Ohio, the Meineke Car Care Bowl with North Carolina vs. Pittsburgh, and the Emerald Bowl with Boston College vs. USC.
  • NBA TV has the Washington Wizards at the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Animal Planet has five episodes of Cats 101.
BET has 24 episodes of The Jaime Foxx Show.
Biography has 16 episodes of Ghostly Encounters.
