Prime Picks
Good Eats (Food Network): New. Alton tells how he lost 50 pounds without going on a diet. A repeat episode follows. Both play again later.
Make It or Break It (ABC Family): New. Kaylie is trying to get used to being the National Champion. Payson is trying to deal with her injury and what it means for her future. Plays again later. This is a pretty good little show. It picks back up just a bit after Nationals with everyone back home in Boulder. Cassie Scerbo continues to do a great job of making you hate Lauren, as she remains one of the best scheming bitches on TV right now. The Payson storyline was my favorite of the episode, as the family deals with the injury.
Men of a Certain Age (TNT): New. Owen and his family have to move in with his parents when the city shuts down construction on his house. Plays again later.
Solid Selections
How I Met Your Mother (CBS): Repeat. In “Robin 101” from earlier this season, Ted is teaching Barney how to date Robin, but she starts to suspect that he is cheating on her.
Accidentally on Purpose (CBS): Repeat. In “The Love Guru” episode from earlier this season, Billie is handing out relationship advice to Zack and Davis.
Two and a Half Men (CBS): Repeat. In this season’s premiere episode, “818-jklpuzo,” Charlie is confused when he learns Mia is back in town. Runs 31 minutes.
The Big Bang Theory (CBS): Repeat. In “The Friendship Algorithm” from last season, Sheldon sets out to create a scientific way of making friends. Starts a minute after the half hour and runs 29 minutes.
CSI: Miami (CBS): Repeat. In this season’s premiere episode, “Out of Time,” Horatio remembers how his team came together as Delko teeters on the edge of death.
Other Options
- MythBusters (Discovery Channel): New. The gang is checking a myth from historical warfare. Plays again later.
- The Secret Life of the American Teenager (ABC Family): New. Amy and Anne are away with the babies and pretty much everyone else decides to ditch school. Plays again later. This is the worst scripted show on TV right now and tonight’s episode does nothing to change that opinion. Yet, it is very much like a car wreck, you just can’t look away as you go by. I maintain that it is the writing and the directing that suck, as many of these actors are much better in other things. If for some reason you actually like this show, then you’ll like tonight’s episode. But, if you do, let me know why in the comments. I’d really like to know.
- Unwrapped (Food Network): New. Get a look behind some “Famous Foods” like Ben and Jerry’s. A repeat episode follows. Both play again later.
