Prime Picks
The New Adventures of Old Christine (CBS): New. Christine tells her therapist that she is in love with him and gets a response she wasn’t expecting.
Gary Unmarried (ABC): New. Allison and Gary don’t want Tom hanging out with the wrong crowd. Sasha flirts with another guy. Accidentally on Purpose will be taking over this timeslot on March 31st, as Gary will have finished its season order a couple weeks before.
Modern Family (ABC): New. Claire finds some naughty pictures on the computer and blames Luke and Phil doesn’t correct her error. Jay and Gloria are arguing about a statue.
Cougar Town (ABC): New. Things are getting pretty hot for Jules and Jeff. Andy lets go of a big secret. Runs 31 minutes.
Leverage (TNT): Winter Premiere. The team deals with its new member Tara, played by Jeri Ryan (Shark), as they go after the owners of a sweatshop. Plays again later. This is such a fun show and Jeri Ryan makes a great addition to the cast. Yet, Gina Bellman isn’t completely gone, as she shows up via video chat a few times. The team doesn’t know whether to trust Tara or not, which puts them on a similar footing as the beginning of season one. She does add an interesting new dynamic to the show and how each of the team members deal with her and what she thinks of each of the team members. There is a great little bit that arises during one of Tara’s video chats with Sophie that could be really interesting going forward. I won’t say much more than they had a lot of fun in this episode diving into the world of fashion.
Solid Selections
Modern Family (ABC): Repeat. The “Coal Digger” episode replays, which has one of the funniest Phil scenes of the series, as he tries to talk to Gloria about what his wife said about her.
The Middle (ABC): New. Mike may have found a dinosaur bone at the rock quarry. Brick runs for class historian.
Criminal Minds (CBS): New. The team tracks a man abducting women to fulfill his obsessions, but Hotch is having some trouble getting back into this work.
CSI: NY (CBS): New. The team is investigating a stabbing, but evidence looks to have been planted at the scene.
Other Options
- nip/tuck (FX): New. A model wants to alter her beauty and Christian wants nothing to do with it. Runs 61 minutes. Plays twice.
- Throwdown With Bobby Flay (Food Network): New. Bobby competes in a Manhattan fish chowder battle. A repeat episode follows. Both play again later.
