Prime Picks
Human Target (FOX): New. Chance is off to an island in Alaska to rescue a missing doctor and also expose a mining company’s involvement in the death of one of their foreman.
Modern Family (ABC): New. It’s Phil’s birthday and it also happens to be the day that a new tech gadget he wants goes on sale. Mitchell thinks he needs to toughen up.
Cougar Town (ABC): New. Jules doesn’t like how much attention Grayson is paying his new girlfriend, played by singer Sheryl Crow. Runs 31 minutes.
In Plain Sight (USA): Season Premiere. It is a few weeks past the events of last season’s finale and U.S. Marshal Shannon is just out of the hospital and back on the job. U.S. Marshal Mann has been investigating her shooting. As more piece begin to fall into place on that front, the also have to deal with one of their witnesses and a recent truck hijacking that fits his old life. Plays again later. USA decided to change showrunners in an attempt to make the show a bit lighter on the drama and a bit heavier on the comedy. I actually thought last season turned into a pretty good one. It’s hard to tell if things have changed that much one episode into the season, but I did really enjoy Marshall’s investigating technique in regards to his partner’s shooting. Yet, it seems totally in sync with his character from previous seasons. @DonnieWahlberg guest stars as the former hijacker now in witness protection with his son and is fine in the role. Mary’s mother and sister appear in small doses to great affect, which is how they are used best. I have liked most of the first two seasons of this show and am interested to see how things progress this season with the creator/showrunner is no longer with the show.
Solid Selections
It’s the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown (ABC): Repeat. Linus is telling everyone about an Easter beagle that hands out candy.
The Middle (ABC): New. Mike gets free tickets to a basketball game that happens to be on the same day as the funeral for Frankie’s uncle.
The Inbetweeners (BBC America): Repeat. Last week’s episode, “The Duke of Edinburgh Awards,” replays, where Will attempts to land his former babysitter by impressing her with volunteer work. Plays again later.
The Inbetweeners (BBC America): Season Finale. Will is getting overly stressed about exams. Plays again later.
Being Erica (SOAPnet): New. Erica gets to see what things would be like in a setback free alternate reality. Plays again tomorrow afternoon. Next week is the season finale. I really like this show, but a jump into the future and now playing with how things might be different or not in an alternate reality has changed the show, but not necessarily for the better.
Other Options
- Dinner: Impossible (Food Network): New. Robert is tasked to cook for 150 pirates at the “Pirates in Paradise” festival in Key West, Florida. Plays again later.
- MythBusters (Discovery Channel): New. The guys take a look at a couple of Hollywood inspired myths. Plays again later. A repeat episode plays right before.
