Prime Picks

Smallville (The CW): New. Green Arrow gets abducted. Clark is being forced to reveal other Justice League members. Pam Grier guest-stars.

Stargate Universe (Syfy): New. Col. Young and Lt. Scott are exploring the ship’s hull looking for an alien-tracking device. Meanwhile, the divide among the crew is threatening the current way things run on Destiny. Plays again later. Last week’s episode, “Space,” replays right before. This week’s episode is a great. You may be surprised how things end up dividing among those on the Destiny. While there is some action in the episode, this show continues to be mostly character driven. I have always liked how they have slowly developed the characters on this show. We learn about them much like they are learning about each other after being stuck on the ship. At the end of this episode, we learn exactly where each person stands and I really like how what takes place sets the scene for the remaining eight episodes of the season. It leaves things in a really interesting place going forward.

Merlin (Syfy): New. Arthur goes undercover in a tournament, but doesn’t know how much trouble he may be in. Plays again later.

Solid Selections

House (FOX): Repeat. The “5 to 9” episode from earlier this season replays, where we follow Dr. Cuddy around and see how the hospital runs from her perspective.

Medium (CBS): New. A killer is after the mysterious girl from inside Allison’s dreams.

Miami Medical (CBS): New. Another member of the team finds out some things about Dr. Proctor while treating victims of a shooting at a hotel.

Other Option

  • What Not to Wear (TLC): New. Stacy and Clinton try to help a nudist that doesn’t pick the best clothes when she does where them. A repeat episode replays right before. Both play again later.

Is the Merlin on SyFy brand new eps, or what was on network previously?

  • Jason the TVaholic Apr 9, 2010, 9:34 am

sprspndx, Yes, the episodes airing on Syfy now are from the second season and new to the U.S. audience. The first season aired on NBC last year and have replayed on Syfy.

What? what about Stargate? 2nd as well? How did I miss this?

  • Jason the TVaholic Apr 9, 2010, 2:49 pm

sprsndx, Yes, tonight is the second episode back for Stargate Universe too. But, that episode replays right before tonight’s new episode and last week’s Merlin S.2 premiere episode replays right before that, so easy to catch up.

Is NBC going to air S2 of Merlin this year like last year with S1 or did they drop that idea after the numbers weren’t so big?

  • Jason the TVaholic Apr 9, 2010, 8:21 pm

amediamindset, No, NBC will not be airing Merlin any longer. Syfy picked up the rights to air S.2 here in the U.S., which it started doing as of last Friday night.
