Prime Picks

The Vampire Diaries (The CW): New. Isobel makes a shocking appearance and wants to meet with Elena. Season finale is next Thursday, May 13th.

Grey’s Anatomy (ABC): New. Bailey wants the residents to be sensitive when a 700-pound patient is brought into the hospital. Derek has to deal with an angry husband in a deposition for a wrongful death suit. Runs 61 minutes. Two-hour season finale is in two weeks on May 20th.

The Mentalist (CBS): New. A clown guns down a math genius and the team investigates. Season finale is in two weeks on May 20th.

Solid Selections

Community (NBC): New. The group seems to be focused on the sexual tension between Jeff and Britta. Meanwhile, a contest at the school turns the college into a war zone. I’ve read reviews from reliable sources that are calling this the best episode of the season and an example of how absurdist comedy can be done in the sitcom format. Season finale is in two weeks on May 20th.
Parks & Recreation (NBC): New. Leslie gets a famous basketball player to join her during the late-night shift of a telethon. Mark is thinking big about his future with Ann. Season finale is in two weeks on May 20th.

The Office (NBC): New. Michael asks Dwight to checkup on his girlfriend after he begins to think she is cheating on him. Andy doesn’t like that nobody is taking a complaint from one of his clients seriously. Season finale is in two weeks on May 20th.
30 Rock (NBC): New. Liz meets someone that used to date her mother. Jack’s mom gets in the middle of his relationships. Jenna’s mother comes for another visit. Season finale is in two weeks on May 20th.

Private Practice (ABC): New. Naomi wants Fife to help her with William’s ALS treatments. Violet and Amelia take on a patient with a brain tumor. Starts a minute after the hour and runs 59 minutes. Season finale is next Thursday, May 13th.

Other Options

  • Bones (FOX): New. Two witches’ bodies are found after a cabin burns down. Hodgins and Angela get arrested for some reason. Season finale is in two weeks on May 20th.
  • CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (CBS): New. A grieving mother that lost her family a few years ago is now a suspect in an investigation. Season finale is in two weeks on May 20th.
  • FlashForward (ABC): New. Demetri and Banks are looking for a killer. Mark agrees to help Simon find his sister, even though he doesn’t want to do so. Whatever you think of this show, they sure know how to write a good twist. Just when you think it’s going one way, they send you off in another. Loved the rehabilitation of a favorite character that just a few weeks before they had basically done away with for me. Season finale is in three weeks on May 27th.
  • Fringe (FOX): New. Peter gets involved in a case in the Northwest. Walter may get put back in St. Claire’s. Someone from the alternate universe visits. Season finale is in two weeks on May 20th.
  • Supernatural (The CW): New. Crowley offers to tell where Death is in exchange for Bobby’s soul. Season finale is next Thursday, May 13th.
