Prime Picks

Chuck (NBC): Season Finale. The last two episodes of the season play tonight. In them, The Ring gets closer to Chuck and those on Operation Bartowski, Casey’s daughter is in danger and he must protect her secretly, and Big Mike finds out some news about the Buy More. Runs two hours. So happy we will have more Chuck and the gang back next season.

Saving Grace (TNT): New. The detectives are investigating a case that revolves around a rock band. Neely moves next door to Grace. Rhetta is thinking about giving Ronnie another chance. Plays again later.

Solid Selections

24 (FOX): Series Finale. In the last two hours of the series, the president is close to the peace agreement and Jack has one more job on his to do list. Runs two hours. Even though this season has showed us that it really is time for it to go, I’m still going to miss Jack and Chloe.

Nurse Jackie (Showtime): New. Jackie may need to get an MRI for her phony prescription. Eddie is back at the hospital. Coop tries to deal with the end of the ad campaign. Plays again later.
United States of Tara (Showtime): New. Tara and Charmaine go to their mother about some childhood memories. Max has an open house. Plays again later.

Other Options

  • 10 Things I Hate About You (ABC Family): Series Finale. The last two episodes play tonight. In the first, Kat wants to study abroad. Bianca is having a hard time accepting their father dating Ms. Tharpe. In the second, Bianca gives up being a cheerleader. Kat decides to run for student body president against Blank. So disappointed ABC Family decided to end this series much earlier than it ever should have been.
  • The Big Bang Theory (CBS): Season Finale. Howard and Raj think it would be fun to set up an online dating profile for Sheldon. Starts a minute after the half hour and runs 30 minutes.
  • Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives (Food Network): New. Guy checks out some places that serve tasty pork dishes. A repeat episode follows. Both play again later.
  • How I Met Your Mother (CBS): Season Finale. Marshall and Lily are really considering children and Robin gets a dream job offer. This is a solid episode to end what has been a very up and down season and shows how far each of these characters has come in the last five years. The problem is that it isn’t all that funny. The dramatic elements of the episode work and you are left with a positive feel; you just don’t laugh all that much. I just hope that this sets the table for next season to get back to Ted and the search for the mother.
  • Law & Order (NBC): Series Finale. Plans to blow up a school have been posted online by an anonymous blogger and the detectives investigate. Lt. Van Buren attempts to keep personal problems a private matter. Still can’t believe that NBC canceled this before it broke the record for longest running series. I guess there is still talk of maybe TNT giving it one more season, but as of now, this will be the shows final episode.
  • Rules of Engagement (CBS): Season Finale. Adam and Jennifer decide to get married secretly, but events keep going against them.
  • Two and a Half Men (CBS): Season Finale. Charlie gets his license suspended and Jake becomes his driver. Alan is thinking about attending Chelsea’s birthday party. Runs 31 minutes.

Wow I love Chuck, and this finale just brought not only this show to a whole new level, but television itself…Amazing twists and turns, sad to see Chuck’s father killed, but that emotion/comedy/action is what keeps this show alive. I can’t wait for season 4! Hope to see all the same characters back again. By the way, was it just me or was anyone else expecting Rachael (from earlier in the season) to have a larger role overall in the show? Maybe we’ll find out in Season 4, anyways fantastic finale, Chuck forever!
