Over on cable, FX has the third season premiere of Sons of Anarchy, G4 has the first season finale of It’s Effin’ Science, IFC has the series premiere of 360 Sessions, and truTV has the third season premiere of Rehab: Party at the Hard Rock Hotel, USA has the second summer season finale of White Collar.
In late night, FX has the first season finale of Louie.
Premiering next Tuesday are The CW’s One Tree Hill and Life Unexpected and NBC’s Parenthood.
Prime Picks
Melissa & Joey (ABC Family): New. Mel’s parents have come for a visit and things don’t go well. Runs 30 minutes. The previous two episodes replay earlier in the day and right before tonight’s new episode.
Warehouse 13 (Syfy): New. Pete and Myka head back to 1961 using H.G. Wells’ time machine. Plays again later. Last week’s episode, “Vendetta,” replays right before. Season finale is in two weeks.
Sons of Anarchy (FX): Season Premiere. The Sons are dealing with the kidnapping of Abel, especially Jax, and the death of Half-Sack. Gemma gets some news from her past. Runs 73 minutes. I’ve seen the first four episodes of the season and wow, just wow. @SutterInk has not let up at all in the third season. This first episode will leave you glued to your seat right up until an ending that, well let’s just say wow. I’ll have a bit more in a subsequent post with some video interviews from my trip to Comic-Con back in July.

- Covert Affairs (USA): New. An Iranian delegate attending the WTO conference in Toronto wants to trade information with the CIA for safe passage to the United States. Plays again later. The previous two episodes replay earlier this evening. Next week is the two hour season finale.
- Life Unexpected (The CW): Repeat. The first season finale episode, “Love Unexpected,” replays, where Cate has to confront her feelings for Baze and Lux makes a life changing revelation. Season two premieres next Tuesday, Sept. 14th.
- White Collar (USA): Summer Finale. Neal puts a con in place to get himself face-to-face with Kate’s killer. Plays again later. The previous eight episodes replay stating early.

- ESPN2 has coverage of the U.S. Open tennis tournament.

- Dark Blue (TNT): Repeat. Last Wednesday’s episode, “Jane Wayne,” replays.
