On cable tonight, HGTV has a Holmes: Lien on Me, Part 2 special, HBO has the third season finale of True Blood, the second season finale of Hung and the seventh season finale of Entourage, ID has an ID Investigates: Why Is Bin Laden Alive? special, MTV has the 2010 VMA’s, TBS has the fourth season finale of My Boys, and truTV has the second season premiere of Over the Limit.

In late night, MTV has the series premiere of The World of Jenks.

Challenge (Food Network): Repeat. Contestants compete in a “Beauty Pageant Cakes” competition. Plays again later.

The Great Food Truck Race (Food Network): New. The three remaining trucks battle it out by cooking a five-course meal like the pioneers would have. Plays again later.

The Glades (A&E): New. Longworth’s investigation of a man found dead in a pool leads him into the world of competitive horse breeding. Plays twice and again later twice.

  • Entourage (HBO): Season Finale. Ari is trying to surprise his wife for her birthday. The gang attempts an intervention for Vince. Turtle is trying to save the tequila business. Eric considers a business proposal from Scott. Plays again later.

  • My Boys (TBS): Season Finale. Two episodes play tonight to close out the fourth season. In the first, Crowley’s is becoming a college hangout and the gang goes on the hunt for a new bar. In the second, Mike is trying to get everyone to help with his planning Marcia’s birthday party. Both play again late night Tuesday and Friday.
  • True Blood (HBO): Season Finale. Eric is plotting his revenge for Russell. Sookie is considering going vampire free. Hoyt is hoping for a future with Jessica. Plays again later.

While your list of fall 2010 premiere dates is really useful, what would be even better (for most plan-ahead viewers) is a list in chronological order.
