Prime Picks

The Vampire Diaries (The CW): New. Katherine returns with a few secret revelations. Damon attempts to end his issues with Mason.

Grey’s Anatomy (ABC): New. Meredith tells Derrick about the miscarriage. Bailey isn’t allowing Alex back into surgery until he gets the bullet in his chest removed. Run 61 minutes.

The Mentalist (CBS): New. Jane’s ne’er-do-well brother-in-law comes to town and ends up as a suspect in a murder case.

Solid Selections

Community (NBC): New. Jeff is returning to some of his bad habits after he begins hanging out with an old law colleague.
30 Rock (NBC): New. Liz is trying to put her newfound confidence to good use and help Pete. Tracy has vowed that he will be at his wife’s side when the baby comes.

Fringe (FOX): New. The team is trying to uncover what seems to cause people to go into a trance like state that eventually leads to death. Review: Once again Anna Torv does superb work, this time as alt-Olivia pretending to be Olivia in the regular universe. Not sure how long I’ll buy that she can pull off this con, but for right now it is providing some mighty interesting goings-on. What did you think of last week’s S.3 premiere?

Private Practice (ABC): New. Violet and Cooper attempt to alter their relationship to appease the significant others. Addison is trying to figure out whether to go public with her new romance or not. Starts a minute after the hour and runs 59 minutes.

Other Options

  • Ace of Cakes (Food Network): New. Duff and the gang make a NASCAR cake. A repeat episode follows. Both play again later.
