Get Sons of Anarchy S.2 on DVD via AmazonTonight, ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC all have election night news specials.

On cable tonight, Bravo has a My Life on the D-List special, Oxygen has the series premiere of Running Russell Simmons, Travel Channel has the series premiere of Mysteries at the Museum, and the news channels will have election coverage.

In cancellation news, Syfy has given Caprica the boot after last week’s episode. The remaining episodes may air sometime in the New Year, but it will not be back for a second season.

Prime Picks

Tower Prep (Cartoon Network): New. “Whisper.”

Stargate Universe (Syfy): New. Col. Young is dealing with visions of a dangerous alien attack. Plays again later.

Sons of Anarchy (FX): New. SAMCRO goes on a protection run in Ireland hoping to get their hands on Jimmy, so they can find out why he has been lying to them about Abel. Runs 63 minutes. Plays twice and again later. This is just a flat out great episode with explosive consequences for the gang and Jax’s plan in particular. Really looking forward to see how what happens tonight affects things for Jax and his deal with Stahl.

Solid Selections

One Tree Hill (The CW): New. Brooke is trying to bond with Julian’s mother. Nathan is feeling a bit unsure of himself taking on the role of agent. Skills is back in town.

Life Unexpected (The CW): New. Math gets Baze, Cate & Ryan to volunteer to chaperone a school camping trip.

Chopped (Food Network): Repeat. Ground turkey and giant eggs are just some of the ingredients that four chefs have to use to create a four-course meal. Plays again later.

Sports Note

  • ESPN2 has college football action with Middle Tennessee State at Arkansas State.

Late Night

  • Terriers (FX): Repeat. Last Wednesday’s episode, “Agua Caliente,” replays.

TV Marathons

Oxygen has eight episodes of The Bad Girls Club.
Spike TV has 19 episodes of 1000 Ways to Die.

    Too bad about Caprica – but not surprising. I started out watching it – but gave up after a few episodes. In spite of a stellar cast, the characters just didn’t interest me. Nobody I cared about – and most (all) behaved really stupidly.
