Over on cable, Centric has the first season finale of Master of the Mix, Discovery Channel has the eighth season finale of MythBusters, E! has the E! Hollywood Story: Gwyneth Paltrow, Food Network has the ninth season premiere of Throwdown With Bobby Flay, ID has the first season finale of Hookers: Saved on the Strip, TBS has the fourth season finale of Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns, TLC has the fourth season finale of Untold Stories of the E.R., Travel Channel has a Pie Paradise special, and USA Network has the fifth season finale of Psych.

Prime Picks

Human Target (FOX): New. Chance and Guerrero go undercover to figure out which member of a family was the target of a murder attempt. This is the last new episode of the year. The show returns with back-to-back new episodes on Jan. 5th and again on the 12th and then will follow American Idol as of the 19th. Watch a clip from tonight’s episode:

MythBusters (Discovery Channel): Season Finale. Adam and Jamie attempt to test the merits of a famous assassination attempt. Plays again later. The “Holiday Special” episode replays right before.

Psych (USA Network): Season Finale. Both the season and the Yin Trilogy come to an end tonight, as Shawn and Gus must try and get help from Yang to save a kidnapped girl from Yin. Plays again later.

Other Options

• Throwdown With Bobby Flay (Food Network): Season Premiere. Bobby competes in a “Beef Empanadas” battle. A repeat episode follows. Both play again later.
• Undercovers (NBC): New. Steven and Samantha are tasked with recovering some stolen money printing plates before any counterfeit money can be printed. Leo is helping Lizzy with a decision. The final four episodes begin being burned off tonight, as the show has been canceled.
