Prime Picks
No Ordinary Family (ABC): New. Jim becomes suspicious of some new friends. Daphne decides to run for student council president. Katie tells Stephanie a secret.
V (ABC): Season Premiere. Chad wants to join the Fifth Column. Erica is looking for a scientist that might be able to explain the Red Sky before the Visitors get to him. V started out really good in its first season, stumbled a bit and then ended really strong. Well, the second season opens really well too. Hopefully, we will get more good stuff before the second season finale rolls around.
Parenthood (NBC): New. Crosby is trying to teach Jabbar to cleanup after himself. Drew gets caught drinking. Joel and Julia have to talk to their daughter about death.
Solid Selections
Glee (FOX): Repeat. The second season premiere episode, “Audition,” replays.
Dirty Jobs (Discovery Channel): New. Mike works paving some roads in Nebraska. Plays again later. A repeat episode plays right before.
Southland (TNT): Season Premiere. Lydia is trying to get used to her new partner. John’s back pain is getting worse. Russell is dealing with having a desk job. Plays again later. The show just does a really good job of portraying interesting characters dealing with some really interesting cases. I still wish that the show focused more on the patrol cops, but if you’ve been a fan of the show in its first two seasons, you going to like what you see tonight.
Other Options
- Caprica (Syfy): Series. The final five unaired episodes of the series play tonight.
- Glory Daze (TBS): New. “Shamrock You Like a Hurricane.” Plays again late night Friday.
- What Not to Wear (TLC): New. Clinton and Stacy help a magazine editor update her wardrobe. Plays again later.
Sports Notes
- ESPN has the Sugar Bowl with Arkansas vs. Ohio State.

- NBA TV has the fan chosen game of the week.
Late Night
- Men of a Certain Age (TNT): Repeat. Last night’s episode, “And Then the Bill Comes,” replays.
