Over on cable, Hallmark Channel has the TV movie premiere of A Valentine’s Date, Nat Geo has the 7th season finale of Dog Whisperer, and Science has the ninth season finale of How It’s Made.

Smallville (The CW): New. Clark, Lois, Dinah and Oliver are all suffering from flashbacks after the VRA releases them.
Fringe (FOX): New. A scientist ingests some blue powder that makes his bones disintegrate. Walter gets some reluctant help on the case from somebody from his past.
CSI: NY (CBS): New. A tractor-trailer hosting an exclusive party ends up at the bottom of the river and the CSIs investigate.

The Defenders (CBS): New. A friend from Nick’s past wants to use new technology to attempt to clear his name of murder. This is the new night for this show and it is presently scheduled to finish out its run in this timeslot over the next five weeks after tonight.
Supernatural (The CW): New. Bobby and Dean are hopeful that death was able to restore Sam with his soul. Dean has to prove himself worthy to get his hands on the only weapon that can slay a dragon.
Merlin (Syfy): New. Arthur and Merlin in up in a brawl at a tavern where they are outnumbered. Plays again later.

- Law & Order: UK (BBC America): New. Devlin is looking into the death of his best friend, another cop. Last week’s episode, “Defence,” replays right after.
- Spartacus: Gods of the Arena (Starz): New. Batiatus’ father returns, which puts his present scheme at risk. Plays again later.

- ESPN has doubleheader NBA action with the Dallas Mavericks at the Boston Celtics followed by Denver Nuggets at the Utah Jazz.
