Prime Picks
Smallville (The CW): Repeat. The “Fortune” episode from earlier this season replays, where everyone can’t remember the night before.
Fringe (FOX): New. Faux-livia finds herself and her baby in great danger after she is abducted. Plays again late night Saturday. This is a good episode, but others that have seen it too seem to think it is somewhere in the fantastic to outstanding range. I just can’t go there for an episode that has a way too predictable ending. Also, the story seems to have no purpose but to lead to the exact opposite outcome Walter-nate would like in one regard. The other outcome doesn’t seem like it needs to be shrouded in all this secrecy, except to produce the previously mentioned outcome. Well, that’s enough with the vague review. Of course, I could’ve missed something along the way that makes this a great episode. Please let me know what you think of the episode. In regards to something that is fantastic, FOX has renewed Fringe for a full 22 episode fourth season. Are you glad it’s coming back next season? I sure am.
Merlin (Syfy): New. Warriors are arriving from everywhere for the tournament in Camelot. Plays again later.
Other Option
- Law & Order: UK (BBC America): New. A ruthless defense attorney is causing lots of problems. Last week’s episode, “Shaken,” replays right after.
Sports Notes
- CBS has NCAA Basketball Tournament action.
- NBA TV has the New Orleans Hornets at the Phoenix Suns.
- TBS has NCAA Basketball Tournament action.
Late Night
- Being Human (Syfy): Repeat. This past Monday’s episode, “Dog Eat Dog,” replays.
- Justified (FX): Repeat. This past Wednesday’s episode, “Save My Love,” replays.
TV Marathons
A&E has seven episodes of Criminal Minds tonight.
Oxygen has 11 episodes of Roseanne.
Spike TV has nine episodes of Gangland.
USA has nine episodes of House.
I’m feeling much better about EVERYTHING now that Fringe has been renewed. I have a few regularly viewed shows that are on the bubble, but I’ll be ok if they’re canceled. Fringe had me worried. I’d like to see at least one more season. If the ratings continue cascading downwards, I’m not so sure we’ll see a season 5. I’m just very happy there will now be 22 additional episodes to enjoy.
I’m glad for you Fringe people. Maybe at some point i’ll get around to watching it. Tonight i’m watching college basketball.
So glad Fringe is coming back. For me, the show has continued to improve the more it gets away from a standard “freak of the week” set-up and into the alternate universe stuff. I’m glad to hear it’s coming back for another season. I wish the same could be said for Human Target … or can it? I don’t remember seeing any announcement yet about it being canceled, but maybe I missed it. I thought that show was very underrated/underwatched, too.
