Over on cable, Animal Planet has a Madagascar special, TLC has a Who Killed Chandra Levy? special, truTV has first season finale of Police POV, and USA Network has the 10th, and final, season premiere of Law & Order: Criminal Intent and the fourth season premiere of In Plain Sight.
America’s Next Great Restaurant (NBC): Season Finale. The final three are tasked with creating a mini version of their restaurant for a soft opening. The judges provide advice and a winner is chosen.
Game of Thrones (HBO): New. Ned finds out about the Crown’s profligacy. Jon Snow seems to impress Tyrion. Catelyn has followed her husband to King’s Landing. Arya works on swordsmanship. Plays again later.
The Killing (AMC): New. Sarah and Holder are questioning a suspect’s family and neighbors. Richmond is getting ready for a debate with the Mayor. Rosie’s funeral is had. Runs 62 minutes. Plays twice and again later. Last week’s episode replays earlier in the day.
The Simpsons (FOX): New. Marge’s sister Selma falls for Fat Tony and they get married. Bart finds he has a special ability. Runs 30 minutes.
Law & Order: Criminal Intent (USA Network): Season Premiere. A very Charlie Sheen-esque fashion designer is the main suspect in the murder of a call girl. Plays again later. Goren and Eames have been my favorite detective duo on any of the Law & Order shows, so it is great to have them back. Tonight’s episode gets the season of to a good ripped from the headlines start. Jay Mohr is really good as a Charlie Sheen type figure. This episode plays a little different than your usual CI episode, in that you don’t know who did it until the end. In Plain Sight (USA Network): Season Premiere. Mary’s sister may be involved in some car thefts. Mary goes to a witness for some help in what might have taken place at the dealership. Plays again later. This is a great episode to kick off the new season. I love Mary and Marshall, which wasn’t the case in the beginning. I didn’t really care for Marshall, but the character has really grown on me. Marshall riding in Mary’s car is one of the funnier site gags I’ve seen recently. I very much enjoyed the episode and how it involved Mary’s sister and Mary’s reluctance to believe people can change. There are a couple of other things that happen in the episode that provide some fun, in that they annoy Mary. I very much how the show gives Mary new people each season to have to deal with, this season’s versions look to be really fun. Enter our In Plain Sight Prize Pack Giveaway.
