Tonight, ABC has the second season finales of The Middle, Modern Family and Cougar Town and the first season finale of Happy Endings, CBS has the series finale of Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior, and FOX has the 10th season finale of American Idol.
Over on cable, TLC has the first season finale of Pawn Queens and Travel Channel has a Man v. Food Nation special.
The Middle (ABC): Season Finale. Brick is in danger of being held back. Axl still has time on his community service left. Sue tries to prove she had perfect attendance. Runs 30 minutes. A repeat Modern Family episode follows.
Modern Family (ABC): Season Finale. The family is trying to plan a party for Jay’s birthday. Phil runs into his college nemesis at the mall. Runs 31 minutes. This is one of the least funny outings of the season, especially in comparison to the last couple of episodes. Not a very good end to the season.
Cougar Town (ABC): Season Finale. Travis decides to move to Hawaii, so the whole crew decides to turn going after him into a vacation. Grayson and Jules find they can no longer keep putting off talking about some big issues. Laurie attempts to get Travis to come back home. Runs 59 minutes. In contrast to what precedes it, this is one of the best episodes of the season and an absolutely fantastic season ender.
Happy Endings (ABC): Season Finale. The gang finds out an old friend is getting married, which brings up some interesting feelings for each in the group. Runs 30 minutes. This too is a fantastic season ender, which would have been ever better had ABC played the first 11 episode in the correct order. Everything would have built so much better to what goes down in this episode. So happy it is coming back for another season next fall.
Bravo has nine episodes of America’s Next Top Model.
Oxygen has 10 episodes of Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood.
