On cable tonight, ABC Family has the fourth season premiere of The Secret Life of the American Teenager, HBO has the documentary premiere of A Matter of Taste: Serving Up Paul Liebrandt, Lifetime has the TV movie premiere of Carnal Innocence, Nat Geo Wild has the first season finale of Man v. Monster, and Oxygen has the second season finale of Love Games: Bad Girls Need Love Too.

How I Met Your Mother (CBS): Repeats. The “Desperation Day” and “Unfinished” episodes from this past season replay.

Switched at Birth (ABC Family): New. Everyone is trying to get used to the new living arrangements. Daphne hangs out with Liam. Plays again next Monday evening. Last week’s series premiere episode replays earlier this evening. Good episode that plays out much like you’d expect. Yet, the end of the episode sets up something that I find interesting, even if I have a feeling I know what it is going to be. What did you think of last week’s premiere?

Nurse Jackie (Showtime): New. Jackie gets help from O’Hara. Kevin is being evasive. Zoey has a party. Plays again later.
The United States of Tara (Showtime): New. All of Tara’s alters seem to have disappeared, except one. Kate is spending time with Evan. Plays again later.

• The Best Thing I Ever Ate (Food Network): New. Food Network personalities talk about the best thing they ever ate in “Las Vegas.” Plays again later.
• Sanctuary (Syfy): New. Neighbors in the suburbs are experiencing something odd that is bringing them all together. Plays again later.
• Teen Wolf (MTV): New. Scott and Allison end up on a group date. The sheriff is on the lookout after an animal attack. Plays twice and again later. The first two episodes of the series replay right before and earlier in the day.

Sports Notes

• ESPN has MLB action with the Cleveland Indians at the New York Yankees.
• NBC has Game 6 of the NHL Stanley Cup Finals with the Vancouver Canucks at the Boston Bruins.
