News & Notes

Get Outcasts S.1 on DVD via AmazonTonight, FOX has the 23rd season finale of Cops and the 24th season finale of America’s Most Wanted: America Fights Back.

Over on cable, A&E has the fifth season finale of Parking Wars, BBC America has the series premiere of Outcasts, BIO has the third season premiere of Celebrity Ghost Stories and the series premiere of Celebrity Close Calls, and Hallmark Channel has the TV movie premiere of Rock the House.

In late night, BBC America has the third season premiere of The Inbetweeners and the series premiere of Come Fly With Me.

Prime Picks

CHAOS (CBS): New. Rick begins to distrust the team after they disobey orders in order to go after a drug dealer.

Outcasts (BBC America): Series Premiere. Earth has become uninhabitable and groups of pioneers have been sent to start over on a planet called Carpathia. Plays again later. I’ve only seen the first 15 minutes of this episode myself and it didn’t draw me in to really want to watch more in that few minutes. According to @tomwilson23, it bombed over there and was canceled. Also, the season ends on a cliffhanger, so watch only if you’re really hard up for something to watch.

Law & Order: LA (NBC): Repeat. This past Monday’s episode, “Carthay Circle,” replays.

Other Option

  • Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives (Food Network): Repeats. Six episodes replay tonight. All play again later.

Sports Notes

  • ABC has NASCAR racing action with the Nationwide Series: Alliance Truck Parts 250.
  • FOX has MLB action with FOX Saturday Baseball.
  • MLB Network has a game tonight.
  • NBC has third round coverage of the U.S. Open golf tournament.

Late Night

  • Come Fly With Me (BBC America): Series Premiere. Comedy set in a busy airport. Haven’t seen it, but according to @tomwilson23 it’s a middle of the road comedy.
  • The Inbetweeners (BBC America): Season Premiere. Jay wants to be a model for the school’s fashion show, while Will wants nothing to do with the event. The first two seasons of this show were great, so I’ve been looking forward to seeing season three.
  • In Plain Sight (USA Network): Repeat. This past Sunday’s episode, “Something Amish,” replays.
  • Teen Wolf (MTV): Repeat. This past Monday’s episode, “Pack Mentality,” replays.

BET has 12 episodes of The Steve Harvey Show.
