What to Watch Tonight: Pretty Little Liars, White Collar, Covert Affairs & More

News & Notes

Get White Collar Season 2 on DVD via AmazonOn cable tonight, TLC has the series premiere of I Kid With Brad Garrett.

Prime Picks

Pretty Little Liars (ABC Family): New. Trouble is all around for the girls. Plays again later and next week before next week’s episode. Last week’s episode replays right before.

White Collar (USA Network): New. Peter and Neal end up having to help Mozzie redo a scam in an attempt to prevent a mob war. Plays again later. Last week’s episode replays earlier in the day.

Covert Affairs (USA Network): New. Annie and another spy end up on the run after an assassin’s attack. Plays again later. Last week’s episode replays earlier in the day.

Other Options

  • Combat Hospital (ABC): New. A soldier with a bacterial infection is brought in and it starts spreading to other patients. Going to give this show a second shot to see if they can maintain the boring, still not sure how they pulled it off in the premiere episode.
  • The Nine Lives of Chloe King (ABC Family): New. The leader of the Mai wants to meet Chloe and informs her that she may need to go into hiding, if they can’t find the assassin that is after her. Plays again next week before the Pretty Little Liars replay. Last week’s episode, “Redemption,” replays earlier this evening. This is the best episode of the first three. We, and Chloe, finally finds out more about the Mai and sets things up better for the show. If this episode had played in conjunction with the premiere episode, it would of worked really well to introduce the audience to the characters and situation. Also, great casting for the leader of the Mai.
  • Raising Hope (FOX): Repeats. The “Burt Rocks” and “Family Secrets” episodes replay.
  • Tosh.0 (Comedy Central): New. A web redemption, viewer calls, and Daniel plays Guess What Happens Next? Plays again later. Two repeat episode play right before.

A DVR night! While I was not impressed with the first episode of White Collar that I watched the other week, your summary makes me think that I ought to give it another try. Raising Hope is quickly becoming a family favorite in my house. I still have no plans to watch Pretty Little Liars. Covert Affairs has been just good enough to get me back for more during the otherwise slow summer. Then again, the leading lady’s beauty could have something to do with that.
