Prime Picks
Eureka (Syfy): New. A new rocket scientist is in town. Fargo develops some fighting moves. Carter agrees to watch Allison’s kids while she goes out of town for a conference. @feliciaday joins the cast for an arc that starts tonight. Plays again later. Last week’s episode, “Liftoff,” replays earlier in the day. This is one of my favorite episodes of the series thus far. I briefly mentioned on the last podcast what I loved so much about this episode. But, the more I think about it, even knowing that is too much given how the story works out. So, here I will just say that something gets used in the episode in such a clever way that I thought it was one of the best uses of that thing I’d seen in quite some time.
The Closer (TNT): New. The LAPD is undergoing some big changes. Brenda and her team are investigating the murder of a housesitter. Plays again later. Last week’s seventh season premiere episode, “Unknown Trouble,” replays right before.
Alphas (Syfy): New. A former patient of Rosen’s escapes and the team is trying to adjust to achieve some balance in their lives. Plays again later. Last week’s series premiere episode, “Pilot,” replays earlier.
