Over on cable, CMT has the series premiere of Angels Among Us, Discovery Channel has an Extreme Drug Smuggling special, DIY has the sixth season finale of Yard Crashers, FX has the seventh season premiere of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and the third season premiere of Archer, and TLC has the series finale of LA Ink.

The Vampire Diaries (The CW): Season Premiere. Caroline is planning Elena’s 18th birthday party. Damon and Elena are looking for Stefan. Klaus and Stefan are looking for a werewolf.
The Secret Circle (The CW): Series Premiere. A high school girl loses her mother in a mysterious accident and moves to the small town her mother grew up in to live with her grandmother. After witnessing a few strange events, she finds out a secret about her mother’s past and her potential future. I really liked the premiere episode. It does a great job of introducing all the characters and setting up the situation. The cast is really good and it will make a great companion to The Vampire Diaries.
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (FX): Season Premiere. The group makes over Frank’s prostitute fiancée to find if she has a heart of gold. Runs 32 minutes. Plays again later two times. There are a couple really good moments, but overall it wasn’t a great episode to start off the season.
