Prime Picks

Nikita (The CW): Season Premiere. Michael and Nikita set out to use the information they have on the black box to start to dismantle Division and Oversight. Amanda goes to Alex for help with a mission. Been looking forward to the return of this one. What about you?

Fringe (FOX): Season Premiere. Agent Lincoln Lee ends up joining the team after his partner is killed by an unknown threat. This is a really good episode, but the timeline being rewritten with the disappearance of Peter messes with your head. Next week’s episodes has one of the best cases of the week they’ve done, as it investigates a very interesting question.

Haven (Syfy): New. Audrey and Nathan are looking into murders where the victims were mummified. Duke has a secret from his past that could change his future. Plays again later.

Solid Selections

Modern Family (ABC): Repeat. This past Wednesday’s third season premiere episodes, “Dude Ranch” and “When Good Kids Go Bad,” replay.

Revenge (ABC): Repeat. This past Wednesday’s series premiere episode, “Pilot,” replays.

Blue Bloods (CBS): Season Premiere. A supporter of the mayor-elect is found dead. Jamie goes undercover.

Other Options

  • A Gifted Man (CBS): Series Premiere. A gifted surgeon finds his life turned upside down after being visited by the ghost of his ex-wife. This is one of my least favorite new shows for the fall. The lead isn’t likable at all, which is why his ex is haunting him, cause he needs to change. But, I didn’t care and will likely not be watching anymore of this one.
  • Strike Back (Cinemax): New. Stonebridge and Crawford go looking for Clare. Scott finds problems at the hospital. Plays again later.
  • Supernatural (The CW): Season Premiere. Dean, Sam and Bobby get issued a warning.

Sports Notes

  • ESPN has Friday Night College Football with Central Florida at BYU.
  • MLB Network has a game tonight.

Late Night

  • Against the Wall (Lifetime): Repeat. This past Sunday’s episode, “Countdown to Meltdown,” replays.
  • Alphas (Syfy): Repeat. This past Monday’s episode, “The Unusual Suspects,” replays.

TV Marathons

A&E has seven episodes of Criminal Minds tonight.
ABC Family has five episodes of America’s Funniest Home Videos tonight.
Spike TV has 15 episodes of Gangland.
Syfy has five episodes of First Wave early.
USA Network has eight episodes of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit early followed by eight episodes of NCIS.
