I wish they would tell us who the mother is. It’s getting slightly stale just getting clues. I think telling us who she is and what lead to her and Ted getting married would be better. The best part of them dragging it out is all the beautiful stories of the other characters that we get to experience.
If you asked me a few seasons ago, I would have said, “Tell me now”! But now I’ve given up hope that we’ll find out until the final season, so Bob Saget’s teaser pauses get a bit annoying at times, because you know they aren’t going to reveal anything.
I love enjoying the ride. the show is much much more than just who Ted marries. It’s about all of them now, and finding out the mother makes the show end…and that’s sad.

I’ve always known that this is going to be a long ride–after all, the show is called “How I Met Your Mother.” Since the beginning, I’ve felt that the Mother should be introduced about halfway through the last season of the show, so we can get to know her and actually root for her and Ted before the show is done and over with.
I wish they’d just tell us now, because that’s not really what the show’s about, anymore. I barely even care about the mother now, I’m way more interested in Barney and Robin’s story.
Yes, I am getting tired of this silly game.
How I Met Your Mother is my FAVORITE show. A friend got me hooked on the show, then I got my boyfriend hooked, and then he got his friends hooked! We love love LOVE this show! We’ve talked about different theories on who the mother could be.
So far, I am just enjoying the ride on the road to finding the mother, but I am hoping we find out soon. Jason Segel hinted that his contract expires after 2013 and he has no plans to renew his contract, so I’m hoping we meet the mother before then because it wouldn’t be the same without Marshmallow!

I love the characters and humor so much I’m willing to wait. I try to just not even think about that part because the journey is pretty entertaining on it’s own.
I wouldn’t want to know who the mother is too early.. Like another poster said I would like to know who she is in the last season before the finale. Lately I’ve been more interested in who Barney is marrying.. still trying to wrap my head around Stinson being married in the first place! I am interested in what they’re doing with season 7 being about revisiting the past for Ted. I can’t to see what lesson he learns from the slutty pumpkin :) My favorite character is Marshall anyway so as long as the jokes/subplots don’t get stale I’ll be enjoying the ride!
If finding out who the mother is means ending the show, I can wait a very long time. But I’d like to see Ted happy, and don’t know if that can happen without him finding his future bride.
I would love to know who the mother is. However, when we find out who the mother is I fear the show will end. So for now and hopefully for many more years I am happily enjoying the ride. I look forward to many more Slap Bets, Robin Sparkles, and sandwiches.

so want them to spill the beans. and im kinda hoping its Robin. shes been there for the whole series, his ex who cocheated on him while she was in germany even sees it. why shouldnt they just make it official?
Ted’s tale is the least interesting of the ongoing plotlines for me…I’m fine if they never reveal the mother.
I don’t want to know who the mother is because once we know I feel like it’s only going to be a matter of time until my favorite show is gone and that would make me sad.
Just tell us already!
