Modern Family (ABC): New. Jay is helping Manny with his school fundraiser. Phil and Luke set out to create a viral video. Runs 31 minutes.
Happy Endings (ABC): New. Teen girls start hanging out at Alex’s store. Starts a minute after the half hour and runs 29 minutes. Another absolutely fantastic episode.

Solid Selections

The Middle (ABC): New. Frankie heads to her mother’s house to escape after making some changes.
Free Agents (NBC): New. The team is hired to help a client that was caught having an affair.

Raising Hope (FOX): New. Jimmy decides to make a move on Sabrina during a trip to Las Vegas for the wedding of Virginia’s cousin. Plays after a 90 minute The X Factor.

Luther (BBC America): New. Ripley gets abducted and Luther sets out to find him. Plays again later.

Other Options

  • American Horror Story (FX): Series Premiere. A therapist moves his family into an old house that has terrible past, which the family learns quickly. Runs 71 minutes. Plays twice and again later. Well, they do a good job of creating a creepy atmosphere, but after two episodes there doesn’t seem to be any other point. Mostly it is just a bunch of creepy horror situations that don’t really payoff. There are some good performances, but I won’t be tuning in any longer.
  • Criminal Minds (CBS): New. It looks like the unsub isn’t your typical serial killer after a mass murder at an Internet security firm.
  • CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (CBS): New. Stokes comes across some decomposing body parts in an art exhibit while on a date.
  • Law & Order: UK (BBC America): New. A hostage situation arises after a bungled robbery attempt. Plays again later.
