Get The Vampire Diaries Season 3 on Blu-ray or DVD at AmazonTonight, CBS has the sixth season premiere of Rules of Engagement.

Over on cable, CMT has the second season premiere of Sweet Home Alabama and the sixth season premiere of Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team, Cooking Channel has the series premiere of Pitchin’ In, and MTV has the fourth season finale of Jersey Shore.

The Vampire Diaries (The CW): New. It’s the first day of their senior year. Damon doesn’t like his new houseguest. Matt needs some help from Bonnie.

Person of Interest (CBS): New. The social of a judge that is known for giving out tough sentences and going strictly by the book comes up and Reece and Finch attempt to figure out why. This is another really good episode. I am very much enjoying the dynamic between Reece and Finch and them getting to know each other while in the middle of trying to help people.

The Mentalist (CBS): New. The team investigates when a woman’s body washes up on an island.

The Big Bang Theory (CBS): New. Sheldon’s mother comes for a visit and he finds himself competing with the gang for her attention. Runs 31 minutes.
Rules of Engagement (CBS): Season Premiere. Liz is trying to make things work with Russell while he is trying to end things. Starts a minute after the half hour and runs 29 minutes.

The Secret Circle (The CW): New. Faye’s ex-boyfriend is back in town and sets his sights on Cassie. Faye plots against him.

Private Practice (ABC): New. A woman from Cooper’s past comes to Oceanside Wellness. Violet and Sheldon disagree on something. Starts two minutes after the hour and runs 58 minutes.

  • Grey’s Anatomy (ABC): New. Meredith attempts to get Derek interested in a patient by using Lexie as her surrogate. Mark and Arizona have finally become friends and Callie turns out not to be all that thrilled at the fact. Runs 62 minutes.
  • It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (FX): New. The gang is trying to secure resources before a storm along with the rest of the population. Runs 31 minutes. Plays again later two times.
