News & Notes

Get Psych Season 5 on DVD via AmazonOn cable tonight, E! has a True Hollywood Story: Kara Dioguardi special, Bravo has the second season finale of Top Chef: Just Desserts, and BBC America has the series premiere of Whitechapel.

Prime Picks

The Middle (ABC): New. Sue wears an embarrassing costume to a party. Axl and his friends are planning a prank.
Suburgatory (ABC): New. Others at school seem to be reminded of a recently departed neighbor by Tessa’s costume. George is attempting to convince Dallas that Halloween can be fun.

Modern Family (ABC): Repeat. Last season’s “Halloween” episode replays. Runs 31 minutes.
Happy Endings (ABC): New. Most of the gang attends a warehouse party while Brad and Jane are housesitting in the burbs. Starts a minute after the half hour and runs 31 minutes.

Psych (USA Network): New. Shawn and Gus are convinced that a vampire is behind a set of murders. Kristy Swanson (Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie) guest-stars. Plays again later. This episode is very funny. Gus is normally the level headed one, so I really enjoy the episodes when he jumps on board the crazy train with Shawn.

Solid Selections

Ringer (The CW): Repeat. The “It’s Gonna Kill Me, But I’ll Do It” episode replays.

Law & Order: UK (BBC America): New. An investigation is launched after video of a teen girl being murdered is found on the Internet. Plays again later.

Revenge (ABC): New. The Graysons begin to distrust their head of security after some surveillance video becomes public. Starts two minutes after the hour and runs 58 minutes.

Other Option

  • MythBusters (Discovery Channel): New. Some Chinese martial arts myths are looked at. Plays again later.
