Over on cable, A&E has the eighth season premiere of Dog the Bounty Hunter and the third season premiere of Steven Seagal: Lawman, Cooking Channel has the series premiere of Not My Mama’s Meals, Discovery Channel has the first season finale of Moonshiners, and History has the second season finale of Brad Meltzer’s Decoded.

The Middle (ABC): New. Frankie comes up with the idea that each family member should be assigned a New Year’s resolution anonymously.
Suburgatory (ABC): New. Dahlia hires Tessa to driver her around so she can stalk her crush, but the guy ends up liking Tessa. George wants to join the country club, but Noah seems to have a problem with it. This is a very solid episode to resume the season with.

Modern Family (ABC): New. Phil assumes the worst after he misses a call from his doctor with test results. Runs 31 minutes.
Happy Endings (ABC): New. Dave’s shrink, guest star Ken Marino (Party Down), begins dating Penny. Alex and Brad find they have a shared interest they hadn’t noticed before. Starts a minute after the half hour and runs 29 minutes.

Revenge (ABC): New. An unstable guest crashes Daniel’s small birthday celebration and Conrad and Victoria are using their daughter as a pawn in their divorce. Emily’s plan shows signs of collapsing. How happy are you to have this show back with new episodes?

I Get That a Lot (CBS): New. Celebrities Pamela Anderson, Jerry Springer, Pauley Perrette, Apolo Ohno, Ty Pennington, and Dr. Drew prank unsuspecting people by pretending to be regular people that look a lot like someone famous.

The Secret Circle (The CW): Repeat. The midseason finale episode, “Balcoin,” replays. New episodes resume tomorrow night.

Leverage (TNT): Repeat. This past Sunday’s episode, “The Gold Job,” replays, where the team goes after a brother and sister that are scamming people with their buy gold business.

  • State of Play (BBC America): Repeat. Cal wants to know why Stephen hired Sonia. Cameron makes a surprising decision. Plays again later.
