Over on cable, Bravo has the fourth season The Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion special and the first season finale of Shahs of Sunset, Hallmark Channel has the TV movie premiere of Undercover Bridesmaids, HBO has the third season finale of Eastbound & Down and the series premiere of Girls, History has a Titanic at 100: Mystery Solved and the first season finale of Full Metal Jousting, TLC has the first season finale of Leave It to Niecy, and VH1 has the fourth season premiere of Tough Love.
The Simpsons (FOX): New. Homer gets a treadmill with an attached TV and Bart gets in trouble with some bullies at school. Runs 30 minutes.
Game of Thrones (HBO): New. Tyrion looks to gain some alliances with the promise of marriage. Catelyn gets to Stormlands. Luwin deciphers Bran’s dream. Plays again later.
NYC 22 (CBS): Series Premiere. We follow six rookie cops as they experience their first day along with their training officer. This is a very solid debut that does a good job of setting the scene and introducing the characters. It is very similar to Rookie Blue, except much, much better. Granted, as that show is terrible, it’s not that big a complement. Adam Goldberg (The Unusuals) and Leelee Sobieski (Joan of Arc) top line the cast of interesting characters that have decided to become cops. There is enough here that I look forward to seeing more.
Once Upon a Time (ABC): Repeat. The “What Happened to Frederick” episode from earlier in the season replays. Runs 61 minutes.
The Good Wife (CBS): New. Alicia is working with a client that has been offered a plea, but still maintains her innocence. Peter decides on whether he will run for governor. So much happens in this show and this episode is a great example of it. Matthew Perry continues the show’s streak of expertly using guest stars.
Breakout Kings (A&E): New. A convict that has been harassed a lot breaks out and goes to see his former love, only to find out that she has moved on. Runs 61 minutes. Plays twice and again later twice. The previous episode replays earlier this morning.
