What’s on TV Tuesday: Cougar Town, New Girl, Private Practice & More

News & Notes

Download Cougar Town S.3 episodes via Amazon Instant VideoTonight, The CW has the series premiere of The L.A. Complex.

Shows normally mentioned below, but that are repeats tonight, are CBS’ NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles.

Prime Picks

Last Man Standing (ABC): Repeat. The “Tree of Strife” episode from earlier this season replays. Runs 31 minutes.
Cougar Town (ABC): New. Grayson and Jules begin to discuss merging their finances, but it doesn’t go well. Travis attempts to get Laurie to decide to grow up a little after her business starts to do really well. Starts a minute after the half hour and runs 29 minutes.

New Girl (FOX): New. Jess begins to worry about her relationship with Russell. CeCe still won’t admit she has feelings for Schmidt, so she gets him to go out with her roommate. Runs 31 minutes. A repeat episode, “Jess and Julia,” follows.

Private Practice (ABC): New. Pete and Violet decide to go to marriage counseling. Mason won’t speak to Cooper and Charlotte. Starts a minute after the hour and runs 59 minutes.

Other Option

  • The L.A. Complex (The CW): Series Premiere. An aspiring actress that is broke finds a group of similar people in Los Angeles to crash with. I wasn’t expecting much from this, but it isn’t bad. It feels a bit low budget, but also comes off a bit more real than the show it follows, 90210. It’s not great by any means, but I’ve seen the first couple episodes and have seen enough that I will keep up with it. If you’re a Degrassi: The Next Generation or a Stargate: Atlantis fan, then you may recognize Cassie Steele or Jewel Staite, respectively.
