Prime Picks

Game of Thrones (HBO): Repeat. Last night’s battle-rific episode, “Blackwater,” replays. Great episode.

Hatfields & McCoys (History): Miniseries Premiere. This three part miniseries plays tonight, tomorrow night and concludes on Wednesday night. It chronicles the legendary Hatfield-McCoy family feud. Runs two hour and six minutes. Plays twice. I’ve seen all three segments and it felt extremely long without commercials, so I can only imagine how it will feel for those that actually watch it live tonight. It is not nearly as exciting as I thought it might be. On the positive side of things, the cast is great with Kevin Costner, Bill Paxton, Tom Berenger and Powers Boothe among others, the set pieces were fantastic and the scenery is beautiful. But, the pacing is monotonous and they somehow made what you would think is a very interesting story, not so much. It is part of tonight’s Prime Picks by default, because there isn’t anything else new on or really any repeats that are that much better.

Sports Notes

  • ESPN has NBA Playoffs action tonight.
  • MLB Network has a game early and a game tonight.

Late Night

  • Mad Men (AMC): Repeat. Last night’s episode, “The Other Woman,” replays. Plays again later.
