Get The Glades Season 2 on DVD at AmazonTonight, NBC has a London Gold special followed by the 2012 Summer Olympics Closing Cerermony and then the series premiere of Animal Practice.

Over on cable, A&E has the third season finale of The Glades and the first season finale of Longmire, AMC has the second season premiere of Hell on Wheels, Comedy Central has The Comedy Central Roast of Roseanne, Discovery Channel has an Air Jaws Apocolypse special, Spike TV has the second season premiere of Flip Men and Travel Channel has the first season finales of Xtreme Waterparks and Insane Coaster Wars and the series premiere of All You Can Eat Meat.

Prime Picks

Leverage (TNT): New. The team goes after a restaurateur that is destroying others in his pursuit of fame and fortune. Plays again later. Last week’s episode replays earlier today.

The Glades (A&E): Season Finale. While investigating the case of a murdered surfer with a closing line, he is frustrated by the lack of communication with Callie. Plays again later. The previous three episodes play earlier this morning.

Longmire (A&E): Season Finale. Walt must deal with the death of his wife once again when a detective from Denver shows up. Runs 61 minutes. Plays twice and again later twice. The previous three episodes replay earlier today.

Other Options

  • Animal Practice (NBC): Series Premiere. This new comedy stars Justin Kirk (Weeds) and Tyler Labine (Reaper) as veterinarians. Kirk is great with the animals, but not so much with their owners. Plays again later. They recast the lead actress since the version of this that I saw, but the people saying the words weren’t the problem. So, unless they punched up the script as well, this is easily miss-able. When the scene stealing monkey is the best thing about your show, you’ve got a problem.
  • Army Wives (Lifetime): New. Everyone is dealing with the fallout from the Centennial Celebration. Plays again later.
  • Awkward. (MTV): Repeats. The previous two episodes of this season replay.
  • Breaking Bad (AMC): New. They must get creative to acquire the materials they need for the current operation. Runs 64 minutes. Plays again later two times.
  • Drop Dead Diva (Lifetime): New. Jane helps out Deb’s mother after she gets sued by a dance student. Grayson and Kim work together on a case. Plays again later.
  • Episodes (Showtime): New. Sean and Beverly have to approach Matt about his weight gain. Beverly decides to go out with Morning’s brother. Plays again later.
  • Falling Skies (TNT): New. Tom meets his mentor, Pope may leave the group, Tector decides to embrace his military background. Plays again later. The previous episode replays earlier today.
  • Iron Chef America (Food Network): New. “Zakarian vs. Schenker.” Plays again later.
  • The Newsroom (HBO): New. Will and Mac are faced with abandoning their principles after the ratings take a dive. Sloan wants more screen time. Plays again later.
  • Political Animals (USA Network): New. Bud finds out what was behind TJ’s suicide attempt. Susan gets exclusive access to the submarine rescue mission. Runs 61 minutes. Plays again later.
