Prime Picks

Once Upon a Time (ABC): New. Regina is trying not to use magic for Henry, but thinks she is being haunted. In fairytale land, Regina is having a hard time learning to use magic.

The Good Wife (CBS): New. Lemond Bishop’s accountant is arrested. Alicia is tasked with finding out what exactly the FBI is targeting.

Homeland (Showtime): New. Brody is imprisoned and interrogated, but they only have a short time to get him to talk and figure out their next step. Plays again later. Last week’s episode replays earlier this evening. This season continues to move along much faster than I would have thought with another fantastic episode. Would have thought that the cat-and-mouse surveillance part of the story would have lasted another four or five episodes before getting to the point we end this episode at. Can’t wait to see where they go from here. Also of note, Showtime recently picked up the show for a third season.

Solid Selections

MythBusters (Discovery Channel): New. A sound frequency test is conducted. Plays again later.

Revenge (ABC): New. Emily and Victoria both have to deal with people from their pasts. Nolan’s company could be in trouble. Runs 61 minutes.

The Mentalist (CBS): New. The 100th episode focuses on flashing back to the first time Jane met Lisbon and the CBI team.

Other Options

  • 666 Park Avenue (ABC): New. Everyone is preparing for the annual Halloween party at the Drake. Jane is being chased by the entity from the suitcase. Olivia is threatened. Starts a minute after the hour and runs 59 minutes. This episode finally starts to expand out what may be going on, but just barely. Wish they would give us a little more of the overarching story for this series involving the Durrants. They do a decent job with the spooky Halloween stuff, but overall they really aren’t keeping my attention. Not sure how much longer I’m going to give this one. What about you?
  • Dexter (Showtime): New. Dexter learns someone was killed on his boat and goes about finding who. Dexter also deals with Isaak, who is out to kill him. Plays again later. Last week’s episode replays earlier this evening. Loving the interaction between Michael C. Hall’s Dexter and Yvonne Strahovski’s character.
  • Hunted (MoreMAX): Repeat. This past Friday’s episode, “LB,” replays. Also replays earlier this afternoon on Cinemax.
  • The Walking Dead (AMC): New. Andrea and Michone meet some new survivors living in a protected town, but problems come about. Plays twice and again later two times. Last week’s episode, “Sick,” replays right before and the previous week’s episode, “Seed,” replays before that.
