Listen to the latest from TV times Three: Ep.156, “Happy Dexter in the Last Nashville Homeland Castle.” On this episode I am joined by @mytakeontv and @kyool to talk about some news and recent episodes of Nashville, Last Resort, The Walking Dead, Dexter, Homeland, Castle, Happy Endings and Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23.

Prime Picks

Last Man Standing (ABC): Season Premiere. Mike argues with his oldest daughter over who to vote for in the upcoming election. Runs 31 minutes. The show is about as funny as it was last season. So, if you liked it, you probably still will and if you didn’t, you won’t. After one episode, I don’t particularly care for the new actress playing the oldest daughter.
Malibu Country (ABC): Series Premiere. Reba leaves her cheating country singing husband and takes her kids and her mother to live in Malibu and she attempts to pursue her own singing career. Starts a minute after the half hour and runs 29 minutes. This first episode is pretty terrible, which is sad considering the cast. When you see Lily Tomlin, Sara Rue and Reba McEntire are going to be in a new comedy, you think it might be worth checking out given their past comedy credits. But, then you see how they are being completely wasted in this lackluster comedy.

Fringe (FOX): New. The team has to respond in the wake of devastating events. Someone makes a shocking move.

Haven (Syfy): New. It’s the “Magic Hour.” Plays again later.

Solid Selections

Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together (NBC): New Special. Benefit concert for the Red Cross to support those affected by Hurricane Sandy. Scheduled to appear are Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, Christina Aguilera, Sting and more.

Nikita (The CW): New. Nikita finds out that one of Percy’s old missions had not been stopped and they go about trying to pull out the operative in hopes of stopping a terrorist attack. Another fantastic episode for this action packed show that way more people should be watching. If you are not, I’d love to know why?

Hunted (Cinemax): New. The meeting place for those bidding on the dam in Pakistan is a country estate. Sam is attempting to figure out how much Turner’s bid is and runs into someone from her past while doing so. Plays again later.

Other Options

  • Blue Bloods (CBS): New. Danny’s investigation takes him into the voodoo community. Frank learns of a dark secret from Garrett.
  • CSI: NY (CBS): New. The team’s investigation ends up in a twisted fairytale.
  • Grimm (NBC): New. The wesen community in Portland is going crazy after vigilante homicide.
  • The Walking Dead (AMC): Repeat. This past Sunday’s episode, “Walk With Me,” replays. Plays again later.
