Prime Picks
Revolution (NBC): Repeat. This past Monday’s episode, “The Children’s Crusade,” replays.
Hunted (Cinemax): Repeat. Last night’s episode, “Kismet,” replays. Plays again later.
Wedding Band (TBS): Series Premiere. A Seattle wedding band plays the wedding of the lead singer’s ex-girlfriend when they find out the biggest event planning company in town is putting on the wedding. Plays twice. When the screener for this show arrived I put it aside. I had a vague recollection of what it was and new it starred Brian Austin Green (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Beverly Hills, 90210). So, I went into it about as clean as you can these days and absolutely loved it. It is just flat out fun with a great cast that includes Green, Harold Perrineau (Sons of Anarchy, Lost), Melora Hardin (The Office), Jenny Wade (The Good Guys), and Pete Cambor (NCIS: Los Angeles). Tonight’s episode does a fantastic job of introducing all the characters and the conceit of the show, but it left me wondering if it could keep that kind of pace in future episodes. Well, after watching the next two I can say it does. This is so good in fact that it makes me wonder why TBS is premiering it on Saturday nights, but yet glad they are. Am always happy to have something new on a Saturday night and even more so when it’s good. It’s definitely worth checking out tonight. Will you be watching?
