News & Notes

Get Sons of Anarchy S.4 on Blu-ray/DVD at AmazonOn cable tonight, Cooking Channel has the first season finale of Chuck’s Eat the Street, Sundance has the sixth season finale of Iconoclasts, TeenNick has the 12th season finale of Degrassi: The Next Generation, and USA Network has the third season finale of Covert Affairs.

Prime Picks

Raising Hope (FOX): New. Jimmy attempts to win a candy selling contest, so Hope can be on a float in the Thanksgiving Day parade. I think this show is pretty good week in and week out, but tonight’s is fantastically funny.
Ben & Kate (FOX): New. Kate is prompted by Will to go to a high school reunion and confront a bully, guest star Amber Stevens (Greek). Ben doesn’t want to keep a secret from Kate any longer. Another really good episode. I especially enjoyed the turkey stuff at the beginning and the end of the episode.

Happy Endings (ABC): New. In the midst of Dave trying to give the gang an authentic Navajo Thanksgiving, Brad finds the lost season of The Real World that he and Max were on, which gets everyone thinking about how they all met. Starts a minute after the hour and runs 30 minutes.
Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23 (ABC): New. June can’t afford to go home for Thanksgiving, so Chloe invites her to her parents’ house for the holiday. Meanwhile, James is trying for a photo-op at a soup kitchen. Starts a minute after the half hour and runs 29 minutes.

Sons of Anarchy (FX): New. Jax is scrambling to put all his plans together before things get out of hand. Nero has to handle some business with his old crew. Runs 90 minutes. Plays three times. So much comes together in this episode that I can’t wait to see what is to come in the final two episodes of the season over the next couple weeks.

Solid Selections

Hart of Dixie (The CW): New. Zoe has to deal with the crush of the young man that Rose has a crush on. Lemon wants to start a catering company.

New Girl (FOX): New. Jess has a plan to try and get her divorced parents, guest stars Rob Reiner and Jamie Lee Curtis, back together again. Schmidt and his cousin, guest star Rob Riggle, end up in a competition about who is more manly after being prompted by Winston.
The Mindy Project (FOX): New. Mindy gets sidetracked by a guy she used to date while cooking Thanksgiving dinner at Gwen’s place.

Covert Affairs (USA Network): Season Finale. Annie heads to Amsterdam to rescue Eyal from a terrorist. Runs 61 minutes. Plays again later.
