Get Hawaii Five-0 Episodes via Amazon Instant VideoTonight, ABC has a couple Extreme Makeover: Home Edition holiday specials, The CW has the series finale of Gossip Girl, FOX has the holiday special premiere of Dragons: Gift of the Night Fury, and NBC has the series premiere of 1600 Penn and the first season finale of Take it All.

Over on cable, Discovery Channel has an American Chopper: Countdown to the End special and the series finale of American Chopper and HBO has a Picture Paris special.

Gossip Girl (The CW): New. Everyone gets together and the identity of Gossip Girl is revealed. Includes interviews with the cast and clips of memorable scenes. Runs two hours.

Hawaii Five-0 (CBS): New. McGarrett and Catherine help a boy whose father has disappeared.

Solid Selections

How I Met Your Mother (CBS): New. In part one: Robin is trying to get Patrice fired, Ted invites his architecture professor to the opening of the new GNB building and Lily and Marshall run into someone from college. In part two: Christmas is getting close and Ted wonders what to do about Robin and Barney and Marshall and Lily get their first night away from Marvin and suffer some separation anxiety. Runs 60 minutes.

Homeland (Showtime): Repeat. Last night’s second season finale episode, “The Choice,” replays. Runs 70 minutes. Plays again later.

Dexter (Showtime): Repeat. Last night’s seventh season finale episode, “Surprise, Motherfucker!,” replays. Starts 10 minutes after the hour and runs 60 minutes. Plays again later.

Other Options

  • 1600 Penn (NBC): Series Premiere. Comedy set in the White House about the President, played by Bill Pulman, and his family. Starts a minute after the half hour and runs 30 minutes. Will takes its regular timeslot on Thursday nights following The Office starting January 10th. It’s an okay comedy full of likable stars, but it’s nothing special.
  • Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives (Food Network): New. Guy gets “Fully Focused.” Plays again later.
  • Dragons: Gift of the Fury (FOX): New Special. The dragons from How to Train Your Dragon all leave the village and their human friends attempt to figure out why. Runs 30 minutes.
  • Happiness Is a Warm Blanket, Charlie Brown (FOX): Repeat. The whole gang is trying to get Linus to leave his blanket behind.
  • Ice Age: A Mammoth Christmas Special (FOX): Repeat. Sid and the gang head to the North Pole in an attempt to get his name off the naughty list. Runs 30 minutes.

  • ESPN has Monday Night Football action with the New York Jets at the Tennessee Titans.
  • ESPN2 has college basketball action with Detroit at Syracuse.
