Over on cable, A&E has the third season premiere of Duck Dynasty, Bravo has the 10th season finale of Top Chef, Syfy has the ninth winter season finale of Ghost Hunters and the series premiere of Stranded, TNT has the series premiere of Boston’s Finest, Travel Channel has the second season finale of Baggage Battles, and USA Network has the seventh season premiere of Psych.

Prime Picks

Arrow (The CW): New. Oliver and Diggle find out that Malcolm is being targeted by Deadshot, who turns out not to be dead. Oliver is trying to find a balance between a personal life and being a vigilante.

Modern Family (ABC): New. Gloria is finding it hard to trust her new nanny. Phil attempts to help Luke with a girl. Runs 31 minutes.
Suburgatory (ABC): New. Tessa is considering her future and relationship with Ryan after he lies to her. Starts a minute after the half hour and runs 29 minutes.

Psych (USA Network): Season Premiere. Shawn searches for the person who shot his father. Runs 61 minutes. Plays again later. An enjoyable episode, even though the serious tone makes some of the silliness not work quite as well as normal. But, there still are some truly great lines and lots of fun references. So glad to have this show back. How about you?

Whitney (NBC): New. Whitney doesn’t like it when Alex starts riding a motorcycle again. Lily orders some stuff for the bar without Mark knowing. Runs 30 minutes.

Criminal Minds (CBS): New. The team investigates when their stalker’s latest victims show up in Philadelphia.

The Americans (FX): New. An agent begins to crumble under emotional stress and many KGB informants could be compromised. Philip and Elizabeth get a new task assigned to them in regards to the FBI. Runs 61 minutes. Plays twice and again later.

  • CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (CBS): New. The team looks into the deaths of some big poker players.
  • Nashville (ABC): New. Juliette throws a surprise birthday party for Deacon. Scarlett meets Gunnar’s brother. Rayna and Teddy continue moving forward with getting divorced.
  • Southland (TNT): New. John gets a new partner. Sammy and Ben are having problems. The dispatch system goes down, which cause major problems. Plays twice.
  • Supernatural (The CW): New. Sam and Dean look into a possible zombie case.

  • ESPN has doubleheader NBA action with the Golden State Warriors at the New York Knicks followed by the Denver Nuggets at the Portland Trail Blazers.
  • ESPN2 has tripleheader college basketball action with Georgetown at Connecticut, Oklahoma at Texas and Colorado at Stanford.

    Regarding Psych: Yes, my wife and I are very glad to see it is back on air too.
