Prime Picks
Switched at Birth (ABC Family): New. Carlton student decide to organize a protest on the night of the play in an attempt to save the school. After the opening couple minutes, the whole episode is entirely in ASL with subtitles. Plays again later. Last week’s episode, “Tight Rope Walker,” replays right before. Having no audible spoken word makes for a very effective episode, especially given the storyline. But, I wonder how much more effective it would have been, if it didn’t have a musical score for much of the episode. It’s an episode not to be missed.
The Following (FOX): New. Joe Carroll has his lawyer put forth a case to be transferred to another facility, which makes Ryan very suspicious of what he is really up to. Replays Friday night.
Lost Girl (Syfy): New. Bo has to confront some old and new demons. Plays again later.
