Prime Picks
Almost Human (FOX): Series Premiere. It is the year 2048 and Det. John Kennex is returning to duty after being injured during a raid. He has to partner up with a robot partner, which he is less than thrilled to do. A good introduction that sets up an interesting world in which to play. I look forward to seeing more. Another new episode plays tomorrow night in its regular Monday timeslot. Tonight’s episode is supposed to start right after the late football game in the central/eastern time zones, but will be in primetime on the west coast.
The Good Wife (CBS): New. Alicia attempts to block a deportation. Eli reconnects with Natalie Flores. Robin tries to be more like Kalinda.
The Mentalist (CBS): New. The Red John pool of suspects has been cut to three after the events of last week. This is an okay episode, but it is all about setting up next week’s “Red John” episode.
Solid Selections
Once Upon a Time (ABC): New. Pan attempts to get Henry to do something that he says will save magic and Neverland, but he has an ulterior motive.
The Walking Dead (AMC): New. The governor is back. Runs 61 minutes. Plays again later three times. Last week’s episode, “Internment,” replays right before.
Witches of East End (Lifetime): New. The shifter takes on a familiar face. Ingrid finds out more about her past. Starts a minute after the hour and runs 61 minutes. Plays twice.
Other Options
- Homeland (Showtime): New. Carrie and Quinn go after a suspect in the bombing. Saul deals with some political backlash. Plays again later two times. Last week’s episode, “Gerontion,” replays earlier this evening.
- Masters of Sex (Showtime): New. Masters and Johnson decide to start filming the sessions. Scully takes some drastic steps. Plays again later two times. Last week’s episode, “All Together Now,” replays earlier this evening.
- Revenge (ABC): New. Victoria sets out to throw an uncomfortable bridal shower. Emily takes some drastic measures to keep her plan on track. Runs 61 minutes.
- The Simpsons (FOX): New. Homer ends up having to help a woman give birth after they get stuck in an elevator. Runs 30 minutes.
- Strike Back: Origins (MoMAX): Repeat. This past Friday night’s episode replays.
