Prime Picks
Community (NBC): Season Premiere. Jeff’s old law partner wants his help in gathering information for a lawsuit against Greendale. Jeff pretends he is trying to save the school and gets the old gang to help him after the Dean calls them all in. This is a really great return to form. While I didn’t see last season as that different in the beginning, I did by the end. There was something missing. Well, that isn’t missing any longer and this episode does a great job to refocus the show and is appropriately title “Re-Pilot.”
Community (NBC): New. Abed takes a class about Nicolas Cage and Jeff needs help with his new job. Abed trying to figure out whether Cage is good or bad is one of the funniest things this show has ever done and Danny Pudi’s performance is fantastic.
The Crazy Ones (CBS): New. Sydney ends up addicted to a video game after an account mix-up. Starts a minute after the hour and runs 30 minutes.
The Michael J. Fox Show (NBC): New. Mike decides to throw a party for Harris after he is given an award.
Elementary (CBS): New. The NYPD bring Moriarty in as a consultant on a kidnapping case Holmes and Watson are investigating. Det. Bell continues to struggle with his recovery. Starts a minute after the hour and runs 59 minutes.
Other Options
- The Big Bang Theory (CBS): New. Penny asks Leonard a question about their relationship while she deals with a big disappointment. Sheldon wants to learn to be funny. Runs 31 minutes.
- Ground Floor (TBS): New. Jenny temporarily works as Mansfield’s assistant, which leaves Harvard in charge downstairs. Brody has to run a big meeting without Mansfield there. Runs 30 minutes. Plays again later.
- Parenthood (NBC): New. Zeek makes a new friend. Carl and Sarah go to a fundraiser. Joel helps Julia with Ed.
