Prime Picks

Brooklyn Nine-Nine (FOX): New. Rosa brings in a perp that may have info on an elusive car thief that Jake has been after for years. Starts at the half hour after a new Dads.

Intelligence (CBS): Series Premiere. A highly trained agent with a computer chip in his head and the secret service agent assigned to protect him try to track down an abducted member of their team. Next new episode plays Monday in its regular timeslot following the two-hour comedy block. Solid opener to this actioner with a very good cast and good potential. If you ever wondered what Chuck would have been like had Bryce Larkin gotten the Intersect, this may be it. As it plays as a more serious version of that show.

Justified (FX): Season Premiere. Raylan heads to Florida and ends up getting involved with another faction of the Crowe family. Boyd heads to Detroit to get his drug shipments back on track. Runs 75 minutes. Plays twice and again later. Great start to the new season with lots or returning and new familiar faces.

Solid Selections

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (ABC): New. Coulson finds out some info about his death, but it may come at a high cost for the team. Runs 61 minutes. I sure hope we get some answers.

New Girl (FOX): New. Jess goes to the gang for help making a decision about her future.
Trophy Wife (ABC): New. Kate wants Pete to have a fun birthday. Starts a minute after the half hour and runs 29 minutes.

Person of Interest (CBS): New. The team tries to protect a dying man from many different enemies, but there could be big problems with Reese off on the road.

Other Options

  • Cougar Town (TBS): Season Premiere. The crew, especially Jules, isn’t sure what to make of Laurie and Travis being together. Bobby comes into some money. Runs 30 minutes. Plays again later.
  • The Goldbergs (ABC): New. Pops doesn’t like how Murray does business at the shop. Starts a minute after the hour and runs 30 minutes.
  • Killer Women (ABC): Series Premiere. A female Texas Ranger tracks down women killers. Runs for eight weeks. This show has an interesting style to it and I liked it enough to checkout a couple more episodes.
  • The Mindy Project (FOX): New. Mindy gets Danny to help her train before she goes away on a trip with Cliff. Runs 30 minutes.
  • NCIS (CBS): New. The Department of Defense, including Gibbs’ ex, helps the team track down a terrorist.
  • Pretty Little Liars (ABC Family): Winter Premiere. Hanna thinks the girls should find out who really is buried in Ally’s grave. Caleb is back in Rosewood. Plays again later two times.
  • Ravenswood (ABC Family): Winter Premiere. Caleb is trying to make sense of things. Miranda goes to Mrs. Grunwald for some answers. Plays again later.
