Get Psych Season 8 at AmazonTonight, ABC has the third season premiere of Suburgatory and FOX has the 13th season premiere of American Idol.

Over on cable, A&E has the fifth season premiere of Duck Dynasty and the series premiere of Crazy Hearts: Nashville, ABC Family has the third winter season premiere of Melissa & Joey and the second winter season premiere of Baby Daddy, Showtime has the third season premiere of Jim Rome on Showtime, and TBS has the third season premiere of Men at Work.

Prime Picks

Arrow (The CW): New. Arrow and his team attempt to stop a bomber who is setting off bombs around the city. Thea wants to know more after she sees Roy use his super strength. Gets the rest of the season of to a great start. Are you looking forward to the show resuming tonight?

Psych (USA Network): New. Lassiter goes to Shawn and Gus for help taking down a dangerous criminal after some recent news causes him to lose his nerve. Runs 61 minutes. Plays again later. Another really good episode. While I hate the interim captain, I love the character. What say you?

American Horror Story: Coven (FX): New. Fiona and Laveau deal with The Corporation. Cordelia makes a sacrifice. Runs 67 minutes. Plays twice and again later.

Solid Selections

Revolution (NBC): New. Monroe has a big decision to make about his son. Gene and Charlie find something out.

Modern Family (ABC): New. Gloria deals with a mean mom, guest star Jane Krakowski (30 Rock). Mitchell deals with a judgmental neighbor, guest star Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network). Runs 31 minutes.

Nashville (ABC): New. Gunnar and Scarlett get an offer from Kelly Clarkson. Rayna is dealing with big pressures. A death changes things and brings about a mystery.

Other Options

  • Baby Daddy (ABC Family): New. Ben and Riley run into some problems while trying to take things to the next level in their relationship. Tucker tries to help Danny with his recent breakup. Runs 30 minutes. Plays again later. Lots of funny happenings in this very reminiscent TGIF style show.
  • Criminal Minds (CBS): New. Garcia has to revisit her hacker past and a former flame for a murder investigation.
  • Melissa & Joey (ABC Family): New. With Austin back, Joe decides to quit. Lennox attempts to get Mel and Joe together. Runs 30 minutes. Plays again later. Very happy with where they finally decide to go by the end of this episode. The rest of the season should be fun.
  • Suburgatory (ABC): Season Premiere. George wants to rebuild his relationship with his daughter. Dalia is upset at her mother over breaking up with George. Runs 30 minutes. Solid return that resets things nicely.
  • The Tomorrow People (The CW): New. Stephen believes he has found out something about his father, but some are skeptical. A couple of very interesting developments in this episode.

Sports Notes

  • ESPN has doubleheader NBA action tonight with the Utah Jazz at the San Antonio Spurs followed by the Denver Nuggets at the Golden State Warriors.
  • ESPN2 has college basketball action with Notre Dame at Maryland followed by early round action of the Australian Open tennis tournament.
